Eco Park
Eco Park in Dhanaulti is a newly developed park by the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and citizens of Dhanaulti, which houses the deodar trees.
At a distance of 500 m from Dhanaulti Bus Station, Eco Parks are the newly developed twin parks located in Dhanaulti, Uttarakhand. Situated on the Chamba-Mussoorie road, it is one of the most visited tourist places in Dhanaulti.
Spread over an area of 13 hectares, Eco Park is divided into two parts, namely Amber and Dhara, which are situated 200m apart from each other. Both gardens have been developed and maintained by the Forest Department with the help of the local youth to create employment opportunities for the poor. Covered with deodar and cedar trees, there is no way you can miss casual strolls and small hikes in these gardens.
Located at a height of 7800 m above sea level, the entire area comprises a protected population of deodar trees with wildflower hedges. There is also a tradition known as memory sapling plantation that is followed in the park, as part of which one can plant a sapling in memory of their loved ones. There are small open huts present in the park where one can sit and enjoy the pleasant surroundings. The park is very well maintained and is an amazing place for the kids to hang out, with a separate playground for them.
Eco Park is an amazing place for the adventurous tourists out there as adventure sports are offered here including sky walking, flying fox, rock climbing, and many more for all age groups from kids to older adults along with added safety measures. A yoga center and an interpretation center are present in the park too. Hence, it is a perfect place for nature lovers as well as adventurous ones to unwind and spend some time full of solitude.
The best time to visit the park is during sunrise and sunset, when the park looks stunning under the multi-hued sky.
